Developer Events Lead

PlanetScale is seeking a Developer Events Lead to join their Marketing team and create authentic connections with the developer community through memorable, impactful events. The role involves comprehensive event management across multiple formats and venues. The Developer Events Lead will be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of developer-focused events, including global conferences, local meetups, partner events, and livestreams. This includes managing PlanetScale's conference presence, coordinating booth logistics, securing speaking opportunities, and organizing satellite events. Key responsibilities include launching developer meetups in tech hubs, partnering with the Go-To-Market team to design engaging field marketing events, collaborating with developer tool companies, producing technical webinars, and developing event strategies with measurable ROI. The role requires significant travel to connect with developers worldwide and may involve working from the San Francisco office several times per week.
